Featured Projects

The Wizard — Knucklehead Games

A classic boomer shooter built for players who actually want to feel something. Features a fully dynamic gore system, tight single-player campaign, and linear level progression designed around flow and momentum. No open world, no waypoints — just you, a wizard, and a lot of things that need to die. Fast-paced, visceral, and unapologetically old-school.

Disco Inferno — Knucklehead Games

A mobile game built in Unity targeting iOS and Android. Designed around intuitive touch controls with full ad integration. Optimised for short-session gameplay loops that keep players coming back.

Hard Tail — Knucklehead Games

The first "Card-PG" — a full-blown RPG with a card battler at its core. Every system you'd expect from a Bethesda title was designed and programmed from scratch: branching dialogue, world state saving, a full quest system, save/load, functional merchants, and a deep inventory. All of it. Built by one person.

Then, instead of generic shallow combat, it ships a fully featured card battler with nearly infinite card combinations — a system that is genuinely more complex than anything those games have attempted. This isn't a simplified RPG with cards bolted on. It's the full package, and then some.

Realism Rebalanced — Wxby

A Left 4 Dead 2 mod built to make the game actually fast-paced. Zombie counts pushed to 200 on screen — far beyond vanilla. Every gun has been reworked with realistic fire rates and unique handling characteristics, tuned carefully so nothing breaks the balance. Weapons feel distinct. The chaos feels earned.

This is the definitive way to play L4D2. Releasing soon™.

Side Projects

Half Lambert — UE5 Engine Implementation

A custom re-implementation of Valve's Half Lambert diffuse lighting model — originally developed for Source engine titles to keep characters readable against complex, busy backgrounds — ported into Unreal Engine 5 at the engine level.

Rather than approximating the effect through a material function or post-process hack, this modifies the core shading pipeline directly. The standard Lambertian term N·L is remapped into the half-space [0, 1] and squared, compressing shadow transitions and producing that characteristic soft, wrap-around diffuse falloff. The change lives in the engine's HLSL lighting evaluation — meaning it applies consistently across all materials without any per-asset setup.

Jolt Physics ragdoll bone transforms visualised in Unreal Engine 5

Jolt Physics Ragdolls — UE5 Integration

Got the Jolt Physics engine compiling and running inside Unreal Engine 5, exposed through a custom Game Instance Subsystem that owns the Jolt PhysicsSystem and steps the simulation each tick. Chaos Physics remains completely untouched — Jolt runs its own rigid body world independently through the subsystem.

The approach deliberately avoids Epic's ragdoll solver entirely. Instead, there's a dedicated Ragdoll state built directly inside the Animation Blueprint — that state is the ragdoll. It pulls bone locations straight from Jolt each tick, bypassing Chaos, the Physical Animation Component, and Epic's ragdoll pipeline completely. No wrappers, no approximations — just raw Jolt bone transforms driving the skeletal pose directly.

Shoutout to Yadhu-S for some groundwork on this plugin.
